Patrick Fitzgerald was born in Louisville and has lived here his entire life, the majority of that time in the Highlands. He played on the very first HYR Soccer team in 1976. He played HYR soccer, basketball and baseball into his teen years. He began coaching his oldest daughter in HYR soccer in the fall of 2002 and has coached every soccer season since that season, often multiples teams per season. He has been married to Amy for 21 years, and all four of their children have played HYR soccer and baseball. He has been on the HYR steering committee since 2013. Patrick has also been a Cub Scout leader and led video clubs with children for several years. When not on the field with HYR, you can find Patrick swimming at Lakeside, cycling or running in Cherokee Park, or paddling a kayak wherever there is flowing water to be had.
